What they needed
We were asked to design an end-to-end energy solution for one of Australia's leading propagation nurseries, Manfield’s Nursery. They were looking to implement a manageable long-term energy solution that aligns with the expansion of their indoor tissue culture facility and forecasted company growth over the coming years.
Our Solution
We monitored all switchboards across the nursery and implemented a monitoring suite that allows Mansfield's to manage energy use across the entire property. A total of 300 panels were installed across the site, with battery storage solutions implemented to store excess power and help run their indoor tissue culture, which requires 24/7 lighting and temperature control. All testing, compliance and grid connection was completed and approved by Greenwood.

The Result
It was an investment that saw this large, sophisticated business realise immediate cost savings as they become energy self-reliant (as they have done with other operating expenses, water). Greenwood's custom designed solution has allowed them to not only save money, but run their energy-intensive tissue culture off excess power generated during daylight hours.
